Adidas x Tom Dixon

There has been a lot of talk about what has been stirring up lately at the Salone del Mobile, Milan. Just recently here is where Adidas has unleashed their newest collaborative effort with British designer Tom Dixon. The apparel and accessories they have come up with are getting some buzz but the shoes are what is getting the most attention. Prepare to be introduced into Tom Dixon's British creativity meets Adidas sport's world expertise in performance. (Talk about an interesting collaborative effort). This is definitely not Adidas' bread and butter, which is why this project is receiving so much publicity. The way they are able to market their products to the world is such a great significance because of how different and unique the actual idea of these to forces coming together is. Everyone wants to know how the products will turn out. And so far it has been nothing but positive feedback. The presentation in Milan during the Salone definitely expresses the incredible creativity Tom Dixon represents in his work. Everything is very detailed down to even the packaging of the clothing and accessories that make the collection stand out. This new movement by Adidas is one that many other sportswear companies are thinking about. Nike has already been releasing some urban type wear from some of the best designers in the world. Now this is Adidas’ time to shine and see if they can also compete with what companies like Nike are doing. Urban wear is definitely an ongoing trend in the fashion world. It will be interesting to see how other companies follow the two power houses of sportswear. The release date will be some time in November 2013 and is said to be hitting stores worldwide.
